You Never Know Who's Watching You

How would you feel if someone you went to high school with hacked into your PC and was taking nude pics of you while you dressed and undressed? Would you go to the police or would you allow that person to manipulate you into keeping quiet? Personally, I couldn't allow someone to do that to me. I was watching Good Morning America this morning and there was a story that really caught my attention. Miss Teen USA Cassidy Wolf was the young female who wasn't going to allow this creep to manipulate her. She said" I received a anonymous email from an anonymous person [who] basically was extorting me and blackmailing me. I saw that he had attached nude photos of me that he had taken in my bedroom".

So the turn to the story was she wasn't his only victim there were about 30-40 web cams he hacked into besides hers. His family apologized and his attorneys stated "he has mental health issues". He was recently let out on 50,000 bail. He's only allowed to go to church, school, and any doctor's appointments he has. If it was up to me I would've never let this perv loose. He pretty much was getting his crap off by violating young women's privacy. Cassidy stated" I know some of the girls who were involved in the case didn't have the opportunity to talk to law enforcement and get to help," she said,"so it makes me feel really good that I was able to help them out,as well as other people who could be going through the same thing".

She's a brave young women and I commend her standing up for herself and going to the police because If his folks knew he had mental health issues prior to this, they should've been got him the help he needed. He's a word I am not going to type in this blog. This story made me aware of cutting my laptop completely off after it's no longer being used cause I would've never thought a creep would do that. I can't help, but shake my head at the the ways of many in this world today!!!

They Felt Opinionless

Can you imagine being molested or raped off and on for several years by a relative? Could you imagine holding a secret that deep? I couldn't imagine it though many have been through similar situations close to this one I am about to discuss. A 14 year old ,by the name of Ann was living in South Bronx, New York. She was staying with her aunt and uncle for while until she could no longer take the sexual abuse from her cousin. So you know what she did? She ran away.

Like many young women in the U.S. she had to find somewhere else to live, she had to survive. If you knew you had no where to stay would you take housing from a complete stranger? For Ann that's a decision that she made, so she took the man's offer. 450,000 children run away from home and 1/3 of them are teenagers who are approached by a pimp within 48 hours from leaving their home. This situation can particularly happen in New York City, where there is approximately 3,800 children who are living homeless ,though there's only 250 city-financed youth shelters available.

There are organizations that provide services for young men and women who do get caught in human trafficking lifestyles . So you tell me that your heart doesn't go out to many young individuals who face human trafficking, prostitution and sexual abuse everyday. Personally to me I feel human trafficking and sexual abuse is cruel, hatred and just pure evil. I do feel that prostitution isn't the first career job that comes to mind for most folks. What I don't understand is why some people feel the need to use women and children in order to make income to support themselves or their family?

Some young individuals feel that being pimped is the only option they have to survival since its a roof over the head and its a job to supply them money to get food. I wish I could save all the children, women and men who have to face such devastating obstacles such being homeless, being caught in human trafficking and being pimped everyday. A young woman who was a prostitute victim by the name of Adriana stated"I think people need to realize that it's not a choice we make. It's life situations that cause us to do the things we need to do to survive. I feel like people don't stop to realize these are girls. No one wakes up and says' I want to be a prostitute today'."

On that note I leave you with this to ponder over "Just because there may be only one option seen doesn't mean that's the only one there and be careful who you be friend."

Modesty Barely of Existence

Many people in today's modern society feel the less clothing the better. Based off the fashion trends that many people around them or celebrities are wearing. For example, I was watching Good Morning America this morning when they mentioned a story about this 19 year old girl named Myley who refused to wear longer shorts when her dad told her too. So her dad didn't give her a normal punishment or take away her phone or anything like that. Instead her dad decided to cut a pair of shorts out of an old pair of jeans he has. He wore those pair of shorts out in public all day with his family when they dined at a restaurant and when they went to play a fun game of mini golf. People were snickering and pointing at him and his daughter did feel embarrassed. She stated "Mostly, I learned the lesson of how much he loves me and that he really cares about it. It got the point across.Yes." He father has a motto that he hopes Myley remember: " Modest is hotter." I feel most parents wouldn't go about dealing with that situation in such a rational way as he did , but you know he loves his child. I wish many young woman would take this as  lesson , to respect your body more. You can be just as trendy / fashionable without having to be so nude/showing so much. Sex appeal should be defined on a more intellectual level. If not that based off how that young lady carries herself.

No example's given

In today's society I personally believe that the people in my generation are following whom they believe are good role models because not much is telling them different. For example, Rihanna, she has had a interview not to long ago with the former talk show host "Oprah". Rihanna was asked do you look at yourself as a role model (that isn't direct quote, but straight to the point) Basically her response was no and that she's pretty much living her life without trying to set any example. As many other celebrities like her , they don't want to take responsbility for the actions or the things that they show the world as far as setting a good example of being called a role model. My view is this if you have a ton of money many people envy you or idolize a lot of the things you do from the clothes you wear to the choices you make. So for anyone to say that they aren't trying to be a role model or to be idolized puzzles me when people view you as just that. I'm not saying that Rihanna or any other celebrity should live there life any different I 'm just saying certain things that they say or how they protray themselves they should really every once in a while consider the message that they are sending.
